Alice At 9 Months - Child and Family Portrait Photograhy, Surrey

Image
This is the latest instalment for little Alice now 9 months. She is such a happy little girl, smiled continuously - gorgeous! We were hoping to be out in the garden for some environmental portraits but our Summer weather had other ideas so ever adaptable we went inside for the portraits instead. Alice's sister Eleanor was on school holidays so we took the opportunity to take some photographs of her too. At 3 she is very busy and spent much of the time chatting away, making calls on her pink mobile, wiggling like a worm and generally jumping around! So very fast reaction times and a bit of patience required, but she only had to smile at you and it all seems worth the effort. We got all 3 girls - Alice, Eleanor and her Mum together too for a few girl shots. All good fun. Baby Alice and her beautiful smile. Mum and Daughter Like butter wouldn't melt! The three girls together. Check out my new teeth. A big kiss from big sister. One more visit for

Olympic Torch in Redhill and Guildford

Image
I don't know about you but I have been gripped by the Olympic fever. After watching the brilliant opening ceremony I knew we were in for something special. The TV has been going on as soon as I wake, the radio is on all day to catch the latest news of medals, live coverage through the BBC web site over lunch and there have been a few charred dinners due to being gripped by the latest swimming events. I still haven't secured any tickets yet, but everyday I'm looking and I'm confident I'll get there to witness and be part of this historic event. If any of you are going then soak up every moment. I was lucky enough to photograph part of the Olympic Torch Relay in Redhill and Guildford for Surrey Police. Claire Gunney who works for Surrey Police ran in Redhill and I was amazed at the amount of people who turned out to watch, cheering and waving flags the whole way. I ended up in Stoke Park in Guildford for the evening event. It was a beautiful evening, the sun shon

Handmade, Creative, Individual Wedding Albums

Image
I will be busy this week assembling a stack of wedding albums which were delivered to the studio. It is quite a task but one which I love! Jones & Co use only the finest quality albums from around the world, all of which are handmade. All of our albums are assembled in-house, lavished with the attention they deserve. Each page in every album is individually designed with a mix of black & white and colour photographs, using a whole page for impactful images and also pages with mixed sized images so every album is unquestionably original. There are a choice of papers for the prints in the album. One of the really lovely papers we have  to offer is a  heavy semi gloss baryta paper. The paper contains a barium sulphate layer which gives it the look and feel to that of an traditional photograph. We also offer a matt alternative which is a heavy Rag paper. The paper is 100% cotton museum grade paper and is exceptionally smooth and gives a beautiful look and fe
